Experienced violin teaching to all ages for 30 years
I am a fastidious teacher and ensure each student has a solid foundation so they can progress quickly and succeed with advanced pieces.
The most important elements in teaching are love and kindness. All students need to feel supported and connected in order to learn effectively.

Violin is one of the most difficult instruments to learn. I focus with students on honing a growth mindset: looking for progress over perfection; noticing improvement; and being patient with themselves as they learn a new skill. Perfectionism thwarts progress and causes students to feel discouraged. Perfect playing comes after giving ourselves grace as we grow.
